My work is based on a holistic belief in every person's unique source of healing and creativity.

As a humanistic counsellor and Art/ Creative Expressive Therapist my support is for people who are facing difficulties in their lives and also for people who want to deepen their path of self-discovery, may that be emotionally, mentally, physically and/or spiritually.

The practice of Reiki and of EFT are also part of my work, and according to each person's choice either one single approach or the interweaving of several ones will be experienced. I am bilingual English/German, and work face-to-face, in groups and as workshop facilitator.

Please feel free to contact me, I will be happy to answer questions you may have. Thank you.

ABOUT ART/ EXPRESSIVE THERAPY...

ART/ EXPRESSIVE THERAPY
, also known as Creative Arts Therapy, is a type of psychotherapy that uses the creative arts as a means of communication, expression and self healing.

This creative therapy can encompass a wide range of media - visual arts, ie. painting or sculpture, poetry, music, dance, drama etc. any of which can help someone communicate inner thoughts and emotions which might otherwise be difficult to express verbally.

It isn't necessary to have any artistic skill to undertake this type of therapy, as the emphasis is on self expression, the exploration of hidden feelings and the healing processes experienced along the way, rather than on the end product.
A creative therapist is not there to judge artistic ability, but to provide a safe and nurturing environment, and to facilitate change, personal growth and healing in their clients.

Creative arts therapists will have a comprehensive background knowledge of their specialist subject, combined with the necessary skills and understanding of its therapeutic aspects. Practitioners generally follow a professional code of practice, and can work within a range of environments, with individuals, groups or organisations.
This type of therapy has been proven to be beneficial in aiding mental, emotional or phychological recovery, both in adults and children.

Disclaimer:

The Therapists Directory on this website is designed primarily to provide a space where holistic health professionals and healers can advertise their work. Whilst certain general criteria have to be fulfilled before being given a listing on our site, the fact that a therapist or practitioner's details are on display here does not imply any personal or professional recommendation by Holistic Promotions. We accept the details offered to us by each practitioner in good faith - that includes relevant qualifications, memberships/registrations etc. and confirmation that they are insured to practice. Each practitioner listed should be happy to show you evidence of all these things if you ask them - which we advise you to do at the first appointment or sooner, for your own peace of mind. We can accept no responsibility for the action, behaviour or malpractice of any practitioner listed on this site.

Information about therapies shown on these pages is for general interest and guidance only, and is not intended to replace professional healthcare advice. As this directory is purely an advertising medium for holistic health practitioners, we do not offer an information service, and are unable to answer enquiries about specific therapies, training, etc. If you need further information, please contact the relevant listed practitioners, or Therapy Associations, Councils or Regulatory bodies - many of which you will find listed on our ADDRESSES & INFO page.
