ABOUT BACH FLOWER THERAPY...
BACH FLOWER THERAPY is based on the 38 Bach Flower
Essences, or Remedies, developed by Dr Edward Bach in the 1930s.
After
practising for more than twenty years in London as a Harley Street
consultant and bacteriologist, Dr Bach grew dissatisfied with conventional
medicine, and started to look at how imbalances between the mind,
body and emotions affected his patient's health.
He believed that we are more than just our physical bodies, and
that illness and disease are a response to energy blockages, caused
by negative emotional states. Convinced that the 'life force' essence
of plants and flowers could have a positive effect on our own subtle
energy systems, he left his London practice to work in the countryside,
and gradually developed a new form of vibrational medicine.
By distilling the essences of certain flowers, and choosing the
right combination for each patient's inner state of being, he found
that this also appeared to bring about improvement in their outward
physical conditions.
Bach Flower Therapists will generally prescribe for almost any type
of emotional imbalance, using a combination of remedies from within
the original 38 Bach flower essences. This holistic approach can
facilitate the release of old energy blockages, clear negative states
of mind, restore a sense of purpose and improve emotional and physical
wellbeing.
