I have worked as a Healer in the Preston area for almost twenty years. In 2002 I qualified as a Reiki Practitioner and more recently I became a Reiki Master and Teacher.
Both Reiki and natural healing work in harmony with your own inner healing mechanism. The effect is gentle, yet often powerful and is usually profoundly relaxing, a much needed experience in today's busy world. Reiki and natural healing used in combination with counselling is exceptionally therapeutic and can change lives.
I have found an increasing requirement for healing to help with stress, anxiety, depression, and emotional difficulties often caused by relationship problems or other more deep rooted issues, and the need for spiritual counselling and guidance is also increasing.

I now offer Reiki training in groups or on a one to one basis if required. I also offer my own range of relaxation meditation CD's and run one day retreat workshops on spirituality, so please visit my website, phone or email me to learn more.

I am on the IBS Register and offer an IBS program. With an interest and some training in CBT. Also offering Life between Lives Spiritual Regression/ journey.

I also consider myself professional, practical, sensitive and I have been a spiritualist healer for many years.

I am very passionate about helping people
to make real changes in their lives. For some it will be something physical, helping them stop smoking or lose/gain weight sensibly. For others it is more psychological, helping them to be more confident, increasing their self-esteem. For others it is improving their golf handicap or stage presence. All of these are life-changing opportunities.

I have discovered that I have a talent for listening to people who are not satisfied with their lives and then working with them to increase their happiness and reach their goals in a way that is right for them as individuals.
Harnessing the power of one's subconscious mind is the most exciting opportunity we have.

ABOUT COUNSELLING...

COUNSELLING is a way for you to talk about and explore your feelings in a safe and confidential environment, something you may find difficult or impossible to do with family or friends. Counsellors are trained to listen, support and assist you in your desire to make positive changes in your life, without judgement, criticism or attempting to influence you towards a particular course of action.

Although Counselling may be offered within many holistic professions as an integral part of their service (sometimes referred to as spiritual counselling), this usually refers to the use of listening skills and intuitive responses, relating to the client's soul purpose, life choices or difficulties encountered with spiritual beliefs.

The commonly understood term Counselling, however, generally refers to the therapy offered by highly trained professional counsellors, which is often integrated with Psychotherapeutic practices as a way of resolving difficulties. Whereas Psychotherapy may be beneficial for people with deeper, ongoing problems, Counselling may be more suitable in the short term, perhaps helping you to deal with a recent emotionally painful episode such as bereavement, the break up of a relationship, or losing a job.
This is only a general guideline however, and Counselling sessions can last over a longer period of time if necessary, depending on the issues that arise.

By creating the space for you to talk freely and release any bottled up feelings you may have, such as grief, anger, anxiety or guilt, counselling can help you better understand these feelings, where they are coming from and what triggers them off. A trained Counsellor will listen in an attentive and supportive way, to try and gain an understanding of your point of view, and by helping you to work through your problems as they surface, you begin to see things from a different and more positive perspective.

Regular commitment to attending Counselling sessions is a part of the process, and sessions are generally held at least once a week - this allows the relationship between the client and the counsellor to develop into one of confidence and trust.

Counsellors undergo different types of training, and employ various methods of working within their profession. These can these include Person-Centred Counselling, Behavioural and Cognitive therapies, plus many more, and one type might be more suitable than another for a particular problem.

To find out which method best meets your requirements, or for in-depth explanations about Counselling and related therapies, the 'Mind' charity website is an excellent source of information: www.mind.org.co.uk/Information.htm

Each practitioner listed should be happy to show you evidence of all these things if you ask them - which we advise you to do at the first appointment or sooner, for your own peace of mind.
