I practise mainly in Barrow-in-Furness,
and I treat a whole range of problems including
confidence, anxiety, phobias, smoking cessation,
exam nerves, weight control and sports improvement
to name but a few.
Hypnotherapy is a gentle
and completely safe, respected
alternative therapy with no side effects.
I consult all my clients in private and in the strictness
of confidence, offering a safe and relaxing
environment for all your
hypnotherapy needs.
If you are looking for a powerful alternative
or complementary treatment to conventional
medicine, then hypnotherapy could be the answer
for you. It treats many complaints, both mental
and physical, including many for
which conventional forms of medicine can offer little
help.
You will find your hypnotherapy session
relaxing and enjoyable.
I offer private consultations with a friendly
and approachable manner. I also offer NLP
and Reflexology.
Please do not hesitate to phone me to discuss
your individual issues, or to make an appointment. |

ABOUT HYPNOTHERAPY...
HYPNOTHERAPY
is a useful short term therapy that can help to resolve problems
originating from the subconcious mind.
When carried out by a trained and qualified therapist, it is a
safe and beneficial therapy, often bringing about long lasting,
or even permanent results.
Our conscious mind - the part that we use every day for normal
thinking processes, only operates at the surface level.
The subconscious mind however, functions at a deeper level, and
this is where we keep our memories, habits, fears and all the
things that make us automatically respond to the situations we
encounter during our lives.
Many of the emotional or mental problems we experience, may only
be outward symptoms of a deeper underlying cause, triggered by
what is stored in our subconscious mind. As we try to deal with
the various stressful or traumatic situations we can find ourselves
in, we are not usually aware of how these things are affecting
us at a deeper level. If we don't take any action, over time these
can build up, and eventually start to manifest as outward emotional,
mental or even physical symptoms.
By using hypnosis, a skilled hypnotherapist is able to easily
access and communicate with the deeper levels of the mind, in
order to find the root cause of these symptoms, and then help
you resolve them. Hypnosis is a hypnotic trance state, which is
a pleasant relaxing experience, similar to daydreaming, where
you are neither awake nor asleep, but you're still aware of your
surroundings and what is happening.
Hypnosis can be used to treat a whole range of problems, such
as fears and phobias, addictions, eg smoking or over eating, compulsive
behaviour, emotional problems, bed wetting, sleep problems, stress
related problems and anxiety, boosting self confidence and performance,
and many more. It can also be used to control pain, even during
operations or dental treatment.
Therapists use hypnosis within a variety of subjects, and there
are numerous different branches available. Some Hypnotherapists
may cover a wide range, whilst others specialise in specific areas,
such as smoking cessation, weight loss, addictions or regression.

Disclaimer:
The Therapists Directory on this website is designed
primarily to provide a space where holistic health professionals
and healers can advertise their work. Whilst certain general criteria
have to be fulfilled before being given a listing on our site,
the fact that a therapist or practitioner's details are on display
here does not imply any personal or professional recommendation
by Holistic Promotions. We accept the details offered to us by
each practitioner in good faith - that includes relevant qualifications,
memberships/registrations etc. and confirmation that they are
insured to practice. Each practitioner listed should be happy
to show you evidence of all these things if you ask them - which
we advise you to do at the first appointment or sooner, for your
own peace of mind. We can accept no responsibility for the action,
behaviour or malpractice of any practitioner listed on this site.
Information about therapies shown on these pages is for general
interest and guidance only, and is not intended to replace professional
healthcare advice. As this directory is purely an advertising
medium for holistic health practitioners, we do not offer an information
service, and are unable to answer enquiries about specific therapies,
training, etc. If you need further information, please contact
the relevant listed practitioners, or Therapy Associations,
Councils or Regulatory bodies - many of which you will
find listed on our ADDRESSES
& INFO page. |
