ABOUT MASSAGE...
MASSAGE has been used for centuries for both healing
and relaxation, and as a holistic therapy today, can have many
benefits, both physically and psychologically.
A trained holistic massage therapist will feel for any physical
tension or areas of discomfort in the body and use their hands
to communicate healing to their client during a treatment. Physical
benefits of massage can include pain relief, increased blood
circulation and stimulation of the lymphatic system.
Holistic massage can be a deeply relaxing physical
and mental experience, in a warm and calm environment, helping
to reduce stress, aid restful sleep, and can leave you feeling
revitalised after a tiring day. Massage can be given to almost
anyone, from babies to any age - however, it is not recommended
if you suffer from certain medical conditions. It's advisable
to seek your doctor's advice first, before starting any complementary
therapy. A properly trained therapist should in any case ask
you for some details about your medical history during your
initial consultation.
