ABOUT THE METAMORPHIC TECHNIQUE...

The basis of the METAMORPHIC TECHNIQUE was originated in the 1960s by British naturopath and reflexologist, Robert St. John.
He discovered that by applying a light touch to the spinal reflex points on the feet, he could bring about significant changes within his patients. His work was further developed in the 1970s by Gaston St Pierre, who whilst studying with Robert St John, saw its great self healing potential, and subsequently established the 'Metamorphic Technique'.

The Technique is based on the belief that during the time we spend in the womb, between conception and birth, we can be influenced by external circumstances - for example, our mother's physical and emotional condition during pregnancy, her nutritional intake, her close relationships and even the attitude of society in general towards her at that time. These influences are thought to develop mental and emotional blockages within us, which we later carry through life, resulting in self limiting beliefs, repeated patterns of negative behaviour and even physical symptoms.

Applying The Metamorphic Technique allows us to free up these blockages, letting us intuitively guide our own subtle energies to transform us from who we are to who we want to be. This way we move out of the way of old patterns of behaviour and start to fulfil our real potential. Rather than just a therapy to treat specific symptoms, The Metamorphic Technique should be thought of as a simple and effective approach to self healing, a completely safe and non invasive method of empowerment. The practitioner, whilst gently applying pressure to the corresponding reflex points on the feet, hands and head, remains detached, merely letting the Technique act as a catalyst, allowing the client to change in a way that is right for them.
The Metamorphic Technique is pleasant to experience and can generally be received by anyone.
