several years ago, and was one of the first
to practise Reiki professionally in the Leigh
area.
In 1998, Ray became a Reiki Healer
and soon became fascinated with Energy
Healing. Since then he has been trained
in several forms of complementary therapies
and continues to investigate and learn
new treatments with which to help other
people.
He is often asked, "What will Reiki do
for me?" Well, complementary therapies
will help YOU to "Fix" the fixable.
However, you don't have to be ill, to
feel the benefits from having REGULAR
TREATments.
Ray is a Qualified Teacher
of Reiki & Seichem and runs
frequent Courses
to attune you to the Elemental
Healing Rays of Earth, Water, Wind and Fire.

I
have worked as a Healer in the
Preston area for almost twenty years. In 2002
I qualified as a Reiki Practitioner and more recently
I became a Reiki Master and Teacher.
Both Reiki and natural healing
work in harmony with your own
inner healing mechanism. The effect is gentle,
yet often powerful and is usually profoundly
relaxing, a much needed experience in
today's busy world. Reiki and natural healing
used in combination with counselling
is exceptionally therapeutic
and can change lives.
I have found an increasing requirement for healing
to help with stress, anxiety,
depression, and emotional difficulties
often caused by relationship problems or other
more deep rooted issues, and
the need for spiritual counselling and
guidance is also increasing.
I now offer Reiki training in

ABOUT REIKI...
REIKI (pronounced Ray
Key) is a Japanese word meaning 'Universal Life Force Energy'.
This energy or 'ki', as it is known in Japan, has been recognised
in the East for centuries as being vital to our health and well
being. When our Life Force energy is flowing freely we feel
happy, uplifted and healthy. When our energy is low or becomes
blocked, we become more prone to stress, depression and illness.
The Reiki system of healing was developed by Dr Mikao Usui in
Japan at the end of the 19th century, after many years researching
ancient healing techniques. The traditions of Reiki have been
passed down over the years from teacher to student, and have
since spread worldwide. A teacher of Reiki (either male or female),
who is qualified to attune others, is known as a Reiki Master.
A Reiki session usually lasts about an hour and takes place
either sitting or lying down, fully clothed.
The practitioner will place their hands lightly on the body
in various positions. This allows the 'Ki' energy to be drawn
through them to wherever it is needed in the person being treated.
This flow of energy may be felt as a mild tingling sensation,
warmth, coolness, or maybe nothing at all at the time. There
is usually a feeling of deep relaxation during and after a session,
the positive effects maybe lasting several days.
Reiki treats the person as a whole, activating the body's own
self healing processes and helping to bring balance mentally,
emotionally, and spiritually, as well as relieving physical
symptoms and clearing out toxins from the body. It is a gentle,
popular and non-intrusive therapy, which can be safely given
to children, adults of all ages and even pets. As a complementary
therapy, Reiki can be used alongside conventional medicine or
other natural therapies.
Practitioners will sometimes combine Reiki with other aspects
of healing, such as the use of colour or crystals.
Generally, a Reiki practitioner will either have been trained
and attuned to Reiki 2nd Degree (Level 2), or will
be a Reiki Master, who teaches and attunes others to practise,
as well as giving treatments themselves.
