I work with EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)
which is a non-invasive energy therapy,
similar to acupuncture - but without the needles.
Life is all about making choices, but
no matter how hard we try we can find ourselves
slipping back into old ways/patterns out of fear,
low self esteem etc.
EFT works on these negative emotions,
which often stem from childhood, allowing us to
move beyond our sticking points.
EFT is successful with losing
weight, smoking, confidence, phobias & fears,
anger and stress management. |

ABOUT STRESS MANAGEMENT...
All of us experience stress at some time during our lives.
What we feel as ‘stress’ is our body’s mental
or physical response - either positive or negative, to something
outside ourselves that puts pressure on our normal coping mechanisms.
Positive stress is usually short lived and can be beneficial.
For example, if we choose to undertake a challenge, such as a
bungee jump or a public performance, we're more likely to experience
the stress as a form of exhilaration or excitement, which leaves
us feeling good after the event.
Negative stress on the other hand, is usually more prolonged,
and results when our normal coping abilities are repeatedly challenged
on a day-to-day basis, perhaps in a demanding work or domestic
situation. If we can see no apparent end to these pressures upon
us, and we don’t take steps to manage our stress effectively,
the chronic stress that results starts to wear us down, both mentally
and physically. Over time, our body's own natural healing ability
decreases and as a result we become more prone to illness, disease
and psychological disorders.
Even just asking for help can make a difference to how we feel.
There's now a wide range of help available to assist us in coping
with the ever increasing demands made upon us, and there is no
need to 'suffer in silence'.
Stress Management practitioners usually offer a combination
of techniques, tailored to the individual, which are designed
to help you deal with and manage your stress effectively. These
can range from intensive counselling or psychotherapy, to a relaxing
massage with soothing oils, to help you unwind and get a good
night's sleep.
Many practitioners also offer stress management strategies not
only for the individual, but also for organisations, in the workplace,
aimed at both employee and management level.
Effective stress management helps us maintain a healthy mind and
body, so that we're in a much better position to withstand any
increase in the level of pressures we face.

Disclaimer:
The Therapists Directory on this website is designed
primarily to provide a space where holistic health professionals
and healers can advertise their work. Whilst certain general criteria
have to be fulfilled before being given a listing on our site,
the fact that a therapist or practitioner's details are on display
here does not imply any personal or professional recommendation
by Holistic Promotions. We accept the details offered to us by
each practitioner in good faith - that includes relevant qualifications,
memberships/registrations etc. and confirmation that they are
insured to practice. Each practitioner listed should be happy
to show you evidence of all these things if you ask them - which
we advise you to do at the first appointment or sooner, for your
own peace of mind. We can accept no responsibility for the action,
behaviour or malpractice of any practitioner listed on this site.
Information about therapies shown on these pages is for general
interest and guidance only, and is not intended to replace professional
healthcare advice. As this directory is purely an advertising
medium for holistic health practitioners, we do not offer an information
service, and are unable to answer enquiries about specific therapies,
training, etc. If you need further information, please contact
the relevant listed practitioners, or Therapy Associations,
Councils or Regulatory bodies - many of which you will
find listed on our ADDRESSES
& INFO page. |
