| Adding
new Therapies:
To
remind you - a single entry, showing all the details you submitted, can
be listed under a maximum of five different therapy headings
within the directory.
The
list of therapies shown in the 'Therapies Offered' section of your entry
corresponds to the therapy headings you selected to be listed under, when
you filled in the original registration form.
Your entry shows exactly the same details on whichever page it is displayed,
except that the individual therapy corresponding to that page is highlighted
in the 'Therapies Offered' section of your entry, and also included at
the top, in the entry header.
However many therapies you practise, your choice of therapies
from the lists on the form can be the only ones
shown in the 'Therapies Offered' section of your entry.
If a therapy is not included in the drop down lists, or in the therapy
index, there is no page for that therapy yet, so it cannot be shown in
the list on your entry, only in your profile at the end.
If
you start practising a new therapy, and would now like your entry
to be added to the corresponding page, please select the new one from
the list in the drop down box on the form.
If your new therapy is not listed, it means there
is not yet a page available for that therapy, but you can mention it in
your profile instead.
If you're already listed on the maximum five therapy pages,
your entry cannot be listed on another therapy page, unless you drop
one or more of your previous selections. If you don't want to
drop one, just alter
the wording in your profile to mention your additional therapy(ies).

Adding or removing Qualifications /Memberships / Registrations:
There
is no limit to how many you wish to include, but don't forget to tell
us about any that are obselete and need to be removed.
If you're currently studying, and are likely to gain more than one qualification
around the same time, wait until you have them all together, rather than
send us details of them one at a time.

Rewriting or altering your profile:
The
profile shown on the right side of your entry is limited to around 150
words, so if you'd like to add new information, please keep within this
limit.
If you'd like to rewrite some, or all of it, please be specific about
what is to be left in or taken out of the original wording.
Remember to only give information about the work you do, and the way you
approach it, that will be relevant to potential clients. Your name, qualifications,
website address and where you practise, etc. are already shown elsewhere
in your entry, so there's no need to use up words by repeating the same
details in the profile.
When you've finished, read it back to yourself and imagine that you're
a potential client. Are you putting yourself across in the best possible
way, so that clients will feel confident about approaching you? Also consider
whether the information you've given will still appear relevant in a few
months time, or will it soon look out of date and need changing again?
A few hints:
It's best not to include sentences such as: "I've been practising for
three years", as this type of statement has to be changed regularly as
time passes. A suitable alternative could be "I've been practising since
2003".
Or this: "I will be completing a course in Reflexology in June". If you're
studying a new therapy, leave this information out until you have your
qualifications, then add the details to your entry all at once.
Likewise, short term special offers like "Half price treatments in March",
or displaying specific prices or opening times is not advisable, as you
may need to change these more frequently than other information. Instead
you could just say "regular special offers and discounts available, see
my website for details"

Changing other details:
When including new *email or website addresses,
please make sure they are spelt correctly and useable.
We automatically create a link from the directory to your own website
if you have one, so make sure that the url you give us is an active address.
It can be frustrating for potential clients to click on a link that just
leads to a 'page cannot be displayed' notice.
Likewise, ensure that new phone numbers intended for
display are given correctly.
Remember to use the email address that you normally use
for business enquiries, if applicable.
If you need to change the locations of where you practise,
remember that this is limited to a maximum of six towns
on your entry. If you add any new ones, you may need to remove others
to keep within the limit.
Don't forget to let us know if you still/now offer home or
workplace visits to your clients.
*Our anti 'spam' policy for email addresses:
Internet marketing companies regularly harvest email addresses from directories
such as this, which can result in an increase in unsolicited emails (spam)
being sent to your address. As an anti-spam measure, to help cut down
unwanted mail being sent to you, we display most email addresses
unlinked, and replace the '@' sign in each address with 'AT'.
Genuine people who wish to contact you by email then just have to copy
and paste the address into their mail program, and replace the AT
with the correct sign. This is quite easy to do and there is an explanation
of how to do it on every page.
